In today’s time, large enterprises want to use the power of Artificial Intelligence, but they cannot compromise on data security. Public AI tools require sending confidential company data to external cloud servers, which is a major privacy risk.

To solve this problem, Associative built and delivered a “Secure On-Premise AI Deployment”. This project involved setting up a powerful, custom Generative AI system that runs 100% offline on the client’s own local servers. We ensured that not a single piece of sensitive data leaves the office premises, maintaining strict regulatory compliance and absolute unyielding transparency.

Detailed Project Tasks & Workflows

To deliver absolute engineering excellence, we divided the project into structured tasks across the entire product lifecycle:

Task 1: Security Planning & Hardware Assessment

• Understood the client’s strict data privacy rules and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Checked the client’s local server hardware to make sure it can handle heavy AI/ML and deep learning tasks.

• Designed a Zero Trust Architecture so only authorized company employees can access the AI system.

Task 2: Local AI Model Setup

• Downloaded and configured open-source Large Language Models (Llama 3 and Qwen).

• Used Ollama to host these models locally on the client’s machines without any internet connection.

• Fine-tuned the model settings to give fast and accurate answers for corporate tasks.

Task 3: Vector Database & RAG Implementation

• Set up Qdrant as a local NoSQL vector database.

• Created a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline using LangChain and Python.

• This task allowed the AI to read, understand, and search through the company’s private offline documents securely to answer employee questions.

Task 4: API & Frontend Development

• Developed a secure backend using FastAPI (Python) to connect the AI models with the user interface.

• Crafted an ultra-high-performance, secure digital web experience using React and TailwindCSS.

• Created a simple, chat-like interface for employees to easily use the AI for their daily workflow management.

Task 5: Dockerization & On-Premise Deployment

• Packaged the entire application, database, and AI models into secure Docker containers.

• Used Kubernetes orchestration for smooth running and scaling on the client’s local servers.

• Applied advanced DevSecOps pipelines to ensure the deployment was completely isolated from the outside internet.

Task 6: Rigorous QA Testing & Final Handover

• Our strict Quality Assurance (QA) department used Selenium and Cypress to run automated testing pipelines.

• Checked for any security loopholes and ensured a bug-free, smooth deployment.

• Successfully delivered the final software to the client and provided complete technical documentation.
